Disclaimer: Haru is not a real doctor, please consult your physicians with any questions. Haru encourages everyone to do their own research and ask questions. The Immune System ft. the Coronavirus There’s been a lot of talk about the Coronavirus  (aka. Covid19)  and germs and how to stay healthy in the middle of it all.
As someone who has a compromised immune system, I thought I could add a different perspective to this whole situation. Before we start I’d like it to be known that this post is in no way meant to add to the hysteria, the purpose is merely to inform and spread awareness in these uncertain times.
Panicking is the worst thing to do in these situations, so staying calm and keeping a cool head is priority number #1! This allows us to think clearly about what needs to be done. Now in most situations if you have a healthy immune system you should be fine, just  continue  to practice  good hygiene . The people who are most at risk ...

Hey everyone! It’s Rosie again (๑>◡<๑) I just wanted to welcome you all to our very first H.A.R.U post, which will be a part of a bigger segment known as the Health and Recovery Unit. This segment was named after our invisible illnesses mascot Haru; if you’d like to learn more about him and how he came to be you can click here . Now on to the main event - I t’s fall here in Canada, the leaves are changing colours, the days are getting shorter, the temperature is dropping, and I’m sure many arthritis sufferers can feel it in their bones… In honour of World Arthritis Day (October 12 th ) I wanted to talk about what arthritis is, my experience with it, and the tricks I’ve picked up along the way. Hey Guys!
Rosie here! Just wanted to update everyone on what we’ve been up to since we haven’t been too active online (my bad). For those who don’t know I have been diagnosed with a list of Chronic Illnesses, this means there is no cure and I will have to fight and manage my illnesses for my whole life. At the age of 16 I was diagnosed with Behcet’s disease, Chron’s disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis and since then my list has grown to include; Gastroparesis (stomach 80% paralyzed), Raynaud’s Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Scleritis (causing partial blindness), Sinus Tachycardia, and Major Depressive Disorder. Behcet’s is very rare in young people, in women, and in people who live in North America, but I have great odds…or bad odds? Depends on how you look at it I guess…😅 So Behcet’s is an auto immune disorder where your immune system attacks your body; in this case specifically small, medium, and large blood vessels as well as veins and capillaries. As...

Cold Outside

I Can’t Feel My Hands When I’m Outside This is our Canadian Winter Parody comic of the song “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd. We did this comic a while back during a particularly harsh cold snap. To give you guys some back story Rosie has Raynauds Arthritis; basically in cold weather her hands turn purple and go numb, which in Canada means just about always. Since humour is the best remedy… I thought this jingle might amuse her… jury’s still out ~ Stay Obsessed
